Narrative:
Trent and Tracey's wedding was a hoot to hoot about. With many old timers showing and even a special surprise from his best mate, Bobo.
Let's start with those in attendance and some oddities on arrangements. Jeff-A and Kimmie, Lizzie, Buddy and Cassie, Alan, Kevin (El-Gordo), Micha, Ron & Tim Mc and Nancy. Plus a host of Trent and Tracey's local friends and all of Trents Family (mom and Dad etc.) and Tracey's Family. To start with Tim and Nancy took one look at the Hotel I arranged for at a discount rate and drove to the Radisson immediately. It was an interesting place no doubt. You had to pay for towels and bath mats and it cost a quarter at the door every time you wanted to use the bathroom. But hey FREE HBO; too bad their was no TV.
Pic up at the Airport was mass confusion and most of us either flew into the wrong airport or the people meant to pic us up came to the the wrong one. Regardless by 3:00 p.m. Friday everybody was accounted for sitting in T&T's new backyard under the Guacamole Tree. We helped decorate with the family and mostly we drained the first keg and tried to convince Sally (trent's mom) that indeed we had all gained that much weight.
Friday night was a pub-crawl on Main St. of downtown Niles. It has 6 bars of which 2 were closed so we walked back and forth between those bars for 6 hrs. We were a big group though, almost 30 of us. Highlights were Tracey's sister and Alan playing mush face (grow up!) Tracy's dad stuffing $100 bills in my shirt to pay for the rounds and watching Timmy and Nancy try to blend and Mexican two step at a Bilanato Mexican bar (shit that was funny). We did get a standing ovation and a curtain call for rugby songs as we sang our way down Main St. The night ended at around 3 or 4 a.m. with Kevin trying to pawn off dietary supplements to the local crack heads.I must say that Tracey's kids sure can put the booze away. Trent, if you didn't know got an instant family, 3 in college and 1 in highschool.
Sat. was beautiful, Huevos Rancheros at a local dive Mexican food place and trying to find Kaki shorts for the wedding party. But the Ceremony was beautiful as Trent actually got married by a Catholic priest whom we thought was going to loose it and died at any moment. He did sing a hell-of-a verse of Halleluiah though. Eventually I let the cat out of the bag and Presented Bobo as the person who should give Trent away and be his best man. We had a choice of three kegs, Sierra Nevada, Nut Brown Ale,and HeffaWissen. The theme was a Hawaiian and they had real Hula Dances and cool Hawaiian band. Great entertainment as we all got up and danced and shook the bootie. I must say that Mica has some good timing. He and his new wife managed to miss almost the whole ceremony but got their just as the beer was tapped and the food served, then said he had to leave for a birthday party.
Late night got interesting, as the booze flowed and everyone left the house about 10 of us found the Jacuzzi and got it going. Everyone was gone, we thought, so we started to loose clothing and inhabitations with Jeff a's games galore. Problem was, Tracey's mom was staying at the house and found us, much to her dismay, and asked us to go away. So we all piled in one little rent a car sopping wet and drove to the motel to continue the evening well into morning.
Sunday was Sunday as we all scrambled to three different airports at three different times.
One to remember...
