So What...
Events to wonder as the LandSharks turn 25, the 10's Tournament turns 21, and the Reunion turns 14. Bobo has resurfaced, Trent has married, 100's of LandSharks have finally graduated and people of the ilk of Sluggo and Zippy have reproduced. Zonkers, a lot has happened the last few years and to catch up you need to show up. We have reached a new plateau in reunion status as LSD now hosts a website, annual general meetings, has a tax I.D. number and sponsors the endeavors of the Brewkemia Foundation.
This year's reunion festivities are the following:
Wed Oct 2nd
Pick up Peter Cavanagh and his band (Plastic Holiday) in Phoenix and watch them play at a bar (yet to be determined) in the Tempe night life. Nick Nadolski will be hosting this night at his new pad in Tempe.
Thur Oct 3rd
Getup packup and head to Williams AZ by 1:00 p.m. We have golf with carts or not at the Elephant Rocks public Golf course. As of right now we have three foursomes playing with the first T-time at 1:00 p.m. There will be awards for the best dressed in golf attire and HIT-OF-THE-DAY. Golfers and non-golfers alike are welcome. We will set the pairings at the Club. The price is reasonable at $ 24 for walking and $36 for riding.
Following golfing we are heading for Jeff-A's and the Club house to look at photos, memorabilia, and eat some Pork. During the BBQ we will be having our LSD Annual General Meeting and decide on this years Brewkemia Foundation Fundraiser and decide on the venues for the upcoming Old boys tournaments. We have been formally invited to attend the Maggot Fest in Montana in May!
From here we go back to the rooms in Flagstaff and clean up. We will be having a Crazy Wig Pub-crawl in downtown Flagstaff on Thursday night and ending it at the Mad I where Plastic Holiday will be playing and pedaling their wares from 9:30 to 1:00. Lets see if Peter stiff has what it takes.
Friday Oct 4th
Huevos Rancheros breakfast at Martans in Downtown Flagstaff. From there we will take the LandShark Brewkemia mobile resurrection vehicle (LSBMRV) (1977 Winnebago Motor Home) to Tusayan for Bowling for Brewskies at 11:00 a.m. Two games thatŐs all then head back to Flag for a lazy afternoon nap or follow the band and go see the Grand Canyon.
Friday night is the Captains meeting for the tens tournament at the Mad I and again Plastic Holiday is playing from 9:30 to 1:00 a.m. or so. Lots of teams, mens and womens will be arriving and we will have the LSBMRV our front for recruiting purposes.
Saturday Oct 5th
22 years of Tens will be played with about 30 mens teams and 10 womens teams. The LandShaks will sponsor two teams, LandSharks A side and TubaCity. LSD will sponsor two teams; a competitive alumi team and an old boys team which will play in the Old boys division. We need players for all levels. following the games (at Thorp Park). There will be free beer and a party at the fields with fun and games sponsored until the beer is gone. Following the early evening events the party moves back to the Mad I for yet another rendition of Plastic Holiday's I've got an Itch.
Sunday as we all know is the Lords day. So we will say good bye to friends old and new and get Peter and boys to Phoenix in time for a 10:00 p.m. flight.
